European Flight Training | APP | APP in Detail

Structure of the Airline Pilot Programme™.

Time to come aboard.
Become an airline pilot with the best-designed programme in the industry.

EFT's Airline Pilot Programme™ (APP™) prepares focussed, dedicated individuals for the fascinating career on the flight deck of a large commercial airliner or corporate jet. Cadets join EFT with zero experience and leave as fully qualified, professional pilots with the attributes and flight experience sought after by major airlines in Europe and elsewhere. In addition, EFT's Airline Pilot Programme™ is the only ab-initio programme which qualifies cadets to fly commercially in Europe as well as in the USA.

Unique benefits of EFT's Airline Pilot Programme™:

Achieving objectives.

No programme offered by any other school is as successful as EFT's Airline Pilot Programme™ in consistently placing graduates in full-time employment as professional pilots upon completion of their training. To provide cadets with the experience vital in gaining an airline job, EFT's APP™ graduates are guaranteed employment as intern flight instructors with EFT. Upon completion of the flight instructor period, cadets will have actual flight experience of up to 1000 hours (including important instrument and multiengine experience). By contrast, comparable programmes of other schools give their students approximately 250 hours of experience. The result? EFT cadets are "flight levels" above their competitors when applying for airline jobs - as testified by the success rate of our graduates. 95% of EFT's APP™ graduates have found airline employment within 6 months of completing the programme, and all exceeded the airline employment requirements summarised in a recent Gapan report.

Standards and professionalism.

Many schools in Europe and the USA advertise "professional flight training" - but few match the standards of EFT's Airline Pilot Programme™. The reason? Our staff, instructors and facilities. Our APP™ instructors are unrivalled in flight and instructional experience, and have successfully trained sponsored cadets for a variety of airlines worldwide. By applying common airline flight operations procedures to our training programme - starting at a cadet's very first flight - graduates are equipped with skills, attitudes and aptitudes to pass airline selection procedures and interviews, first time.

Cost - effectiveness.

Training to become a professional pilot is expensive, and is a significant investment in yourself. How can you maximise return on this investment? By ensuring that your training is both cost-effective and successful in placing you in airline employment upon completion, training risk is minimised. We challenge you to compare training costs at EFT with those of other professional training providers, such as Oxford Aviation, BAE systems or Lufthansa Flight Training. How much does EFT's programme cost? Click here to learn more.

Consisting of a full-time training programme lasting up to 18 months, followed by an instructor placement position also lasting up to 18 months, the APP™ encompasses a variety of modules which will provide you with the licences, unrivalled experience and attributes to ensure smooth transition into an airline. Just like previous APP™ cadets, you will find training both a challening and rewarding step on your way into an airliner flight deck.
