Multi Engine Instructor

The course of training for the Multi-engine instructor rating comprises:-

A minimum of 5 hours flight training and 10 hours theoretical training.

Pre- Course Requirements

Before starting an approved course of training you must have:-

Hold a valid FI (A) with Supervisory Restriction removed.

Have flown at least 500 hours flight time as pilot of aeroplanes.

Have flown at least 30 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on the aeroplane type or class of aeroplane to be used during the training prior to commencing the course. It should be noted that SPIC time is not allowed towards this 30 hour requirement.

Skill Test

At the end of the course a skill test covering theory and a flight will be taken with a Flight Instructor Examiner (FIE).
