Flight Instructor

Unlike most course providers, EFT has a team of FIC instructors who have a wealth of experience between them. It is our firm belief that experience counts. Combine this with a dedication towards professionalism, the very highest quality and the result is the best training you can get anywhere in the world.

 

The course of training comprises 30 hours of flying, 25 hours dual with the FIC instructor and five hours may be mutual with another student, there is also a required total of 125 hours of ground school. Up to 15 hours of pre-course study is encouraged and may be included in the 125 hour total. The balance of the ground school will be undertaken in conjunction with the flying training affording the maximum overall benefit and learning experience.

Classes will run daily and include training by our highly experienced team of instructors. The FIC instructor teaches the lessons and then oversees practice sessions in the classroom between fellow student instructors. The required dedicated private study time will be directed and targeted toward the essential core learning objectives and academic subjects in preparation for the end of course flight test.

 

The full-time course will run five days per week over a four week period, with an additional one week recommended for consolidation and final preparation towards the test. The flight instructor assessment test normally takes a full day to complete and will be taken with a Flight Instructor Examiner (FIE).The test comprises of different sections which when added together give applicants a very good opportunity to demonstrate their ability to teach both academic subjects and the essential skills for flight. It also allows you to give a broad, thorough and positive impression of yourself and your abilities. You will be assessed in several different ways: your aviation knowledge, your teaching ability, and your basic flying skills.

 

Our FIC Instructor is also an experienced FIE and will train you to the highest standard to ensure success, provided you put in the work and graduate the course by meeting the expected standard.

European Flight Training has a 100% first time pass record for its FI’s.

 

Everyone who has been recommended for test, following course completion to

a satisfactory standard,

has passed,

often with a well above average grade.

European Flight Training started in 1999 as an aviation school offering EASA Flight Training in Florida and has developed into one of the most prestigious aviation flight schools in the United States.
